The family Bible of Thomas and Jane Youngblood, now in the possession of Lila Jean Youngblood who lives with her brother, William Tom, in the old home of their parents at Sardis, near Union Springs, records the dates of birth of the ten children of Thomas and Jane (Head) Youngblood. This Bible was printed in 1845 and on the first page is the signature of Thomas Youngblood and the cost of the Bible - $12.50. All entries were made in the handwriting of Thomas Youngblood until the time of his death. His wife entered the ones after he passed away.

Lila Jean and Tom are the children of Joseph and Emma (Hooks) Youngblood; the grand-children of Thomas and Eliza (Pitts) Youngblood and the great grand-children of Thomas and Jane (Head) Youngblood.
