The Hempstead Shooting
Special Telegram to the Statesman.
HEMPSTEAD, July 26. — Mr. W. M. Felker, wounded in the personal difficulty with Mr. John F. Cole yesterday, was not much hurt. The attending physicians assert that he will be on the streets in ten days hence. The men had been friends a long time, and the row commenced over a game of billiards. They are now warm friends and laugh over their duel with pepper-boxes.
