From Hempstead.

To the Banner:

HEMPSTEAD, May 7. — The funeral of J. H. Farr, who was killed by J. W. J. Cloud, took place to-day.  The procession consisted of some forty odd vehicles, besides a large number on horseback, and was one of the largest funeral processions ever seen in Hempstead.  The burial ceremonies were conducted by the Knights of Honor, of which society he was a member, and were solemn and impressive.  There were many expressions of regret over the sad occurrance and much sympathy with the family of the deceased.
