Not only does this will record link Isom Cloud to Elizabeth, but I have a page of information about these people sent me by the late Len Hoops. This page has numerous references about issues involving the settlement of Richard Bundren's estate. It seems that Elizabeth relinquished her role of executor of her husband's estate to her son-in-law, Nathaniel Barnes. He was apparently delinquent in his handling of the estate and in 1835 was ordered to close it and pay the final amount to his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bundren. Although the amount seems very trivial to take so much time in court, but these proceedings do tell us that Elizabeth was still living in 1835. I do not know exactly when Elizabeth died.
What is even more interesting, however, is that other Cloud names appear on this page. "On the 8th of June 1838 Letters of administration on the estate of ABNER CLOUD late of Hamilton Co. deceased to Peter C. Cloud, who gave bond with Bicknell Cole as his security in sum of $1400 and he is qualified." Also, Will Book A, p. 177, notes that ISOM CLOUD bought a saddle and set of "britiching chains" and one colt from the Richard Bundren estate. "Deeds of Hamilton Co." lists land deed by Elizabeth Bundren to ISOM CLOUD, December 24, 1834, for $300.00.
