9. Clarence McDade, b. 1876, d. 6/24/1918. Unmarried. Much of the information about the R. M. W. McDade family was furnished by Mrs. Ruth Harmon Kersh.
E. Helen Unity, youngest child of James and Sarah McDade, was born near Mt. Meigs, Ala. 1/6/1935, d. 12/4/1867, Austin Co. Tex. m. 1/9/1851, her cousin, John Bolling Manning, b. 6/18/1831, d. 7/1/1887, in Waller Co. Tex, which had been a part of Austin Co. Bolling, the son of John, and Mary (McDade) Manning was said to have served in the War Between the States. Six children;
1. Mary Virginia Manning, b. Ala. 7/21/1852, d. 1920, married Frederick Weatherford, Children. Bolling, Helen, Fred and Winona.
2. Florence Manning, b. 12/31/1854, d. 1867.
3. Sallie Manning, b. 3/18/1857, d. 1950, married Green Gerald. Children; Richard, Martha (Mattie), Mona, Willie and Alma.
4. Emma Jane Manning, b. Ala. 10/5/1859, d. 1944, married Thomas Paine Cooke. Four children;
a. Anna Hope Cooke, b. 3/14/1887, m. 1st, H. L. Ranson. Two children, Ruby Lee and Jonathan L. Ransom.
Anna Hope married, 2nd, P. M. Williams. No children.
b. Thomas Rife Cooke, b. 7/26/1891, m. 1st, Alice Shindler. Married, 2nd, Isora Lock. Thos. Rife Cooke has one son, Thomas B. Cooke.
c. Mary Emma Cooke, died an infant.
d. Effie Lee Cooke, b. 1/5/1896, m. Henry J. Bouchard. Two children; Henry J. Bouchard, Jr. deceased, and Tommy M. Bouchard, Minister of the Christian Church, Mineral Wells, Texas.
5. William Eugene Manning, b. 1/5/1862, Austin Co. Tex. d. 1924, married Ella Haley. Children - Alice, Will (Daughter) Mary Emma and Emmett.
6. Nannie C. Manning, b. Austin Co. Tex. 8/24/1866, d. 1938, married F. Z. Elliott. No children.
VI. Alexander McDade, son of James and Elizabeth, was born in Georgia, about 1790.
While still a resident of that state he enlisted in the War of 1812, at Sandersville, Washington Co. and was a sergeant in Capt.
