Youngblood-Armstrong & Allied Families

about 1826, died September 16, 1843.

I. Frances, youngest child of Charles and Adeline Edna McDade, married James F. Armstrong. (See Armstrong section.)

IV. John McDade, son of James and Elizabeth, was born in Georgia, March 5, 1786. He married, Aug. 14, 1805, Delilah Frizzle, who was born Dec. 27, 1788. The above dates were copied from the family Bible of John and Delilah McDade, which in 1946, was in the possession of Mrs. C. C. McDade, of Electric Mills, Miss.

John moved his family, consisting of wife and five children, from Georgia to Alabama and settled a few miles distant from his brothers. He died in Montgomery Co. prior to Oct. 28, 1825. Alexander McDade was appointed administrator as "next of kin," to the deceased. One of the appraisors was William Germany, whose daughter, Mary, had previously married John's brother, William McDade. (Ct. Rec. Vol 2, p. 136, also Bx 54, Montgy, Ala.)

Delilah McDade, applied for guardianship of James, Charles, Unity, John A. and Williamson, (called William) minors of John McDade.

On Dec. 18, 1825, Delilah asked for her share of her late husband's estate, claiming dower in lands. (Orp. Ct. Bk2, p. 236). Among the lands was the NW l/4 Sec. 29 Tp 16 R 20, which was the first piece of property John McDade had applied for in Milledgeville, Ga. and to which he moved about 1818.

John Hall and Joseph H. Frith, petitioned the court, Dec. 18, 1826, for a distribution of the estate, in right of their wives, who were daughters of John and Delilah McDade.

Early in 1829, Delilah resigned as guardian of James, John A. and Williamson. In March 1829, Alexander McDade, the administrator, was appointed guardian for John A. McDade; and Charles, brother to Alexander, was appointed guardian for young Charles McDade. (Bk 3 p 182 Montgy, Ala.) Joseph H. Frith was appointed guardian of Williamson McDade with Thomas Frizzle and Alex McDade, bondsmen.

The 1830 Census of Montgomery Co. lists Joseph H. Frith, under thirty; wife, under twenty; two males under five and one male under ten. The boy under ten was probably Williamson McDade, living with his sister and her husband, who was his guardian.

John and Delilah (Frizzle) McDade, were the parents of eight children.

A. Elizabeth (Betsy) McDade, b. 1806, in Georgia, d. Kemper Co. Miss, in 1844. She was married, 11/25/1824, Montgomery Co. Ala, by Charles McDade, J. P. to John Hall, Jr. b. Putnam
