b. William Scott Waugh, b. Mt. Meigs, 2/9/1868, married Martha John, (Johnnie) Dayton, daughter of John and Martha Dayton, of Bullock Co. Ala.

i. Margaret, educator. Unmarried.
ii. James Lawrence, of West Palm Beach, Fla. married Clara B. Schultz, in Caspar, Wyo. Two children, James Lawrence, Jr. and Margaret. Both married.
iii. John Dayton, cattle rancher, Casa Grande, Ariz. No children.
iv. William Rushing, married Martha Suttles, of Marion, Ala. Is in the office of Chief Engineers, U. S. Army, Washington, D. C. Two daughters.
c. Ernest Waugh, b. 1873, married Pope Roberts, of Matthews, Ala. One child, Florence Charles, married John Cooper. Two daughters, Patricia Ann and Cynthia Jane.
5. William Scott. Unmarried. Killed, 6/2/1864, in Confederate army.
6. James Madison, physician, b. 1847, married Sarah Adeline (Sallie) McDade, b. 2/12/1853, d. 7/3/1895, daughter of James W. and Nancy Elizabeth (McDade) McDade. Two children.
a. Joe Plyler, died young.
b. Oscar, married Jeannie Jones. Both deceased. One child, Eleanor, deceased, married a Monneyham. Four children.

8. John, b. 8/17/1851, d. 4/18/1927, married Mildred Dwight Willingham, b. 2/3/1860, d. 1/8/1920, daughter of Samuel and Susan Willingham. Three children.
