I. Daniel Turner McDade, b. 9/28/1821, d. 1/5/1876, m. 4/1/1846, in Sumter Co. Ala. Phillis E. Dickenson, a niece of the two Miller girls, who had married his older half brothers, Jas. G. and Alex J. McDade.
J. Louisa McDade, b. 3/31/1823, m. 1st 3/17/1842, James L. Patton. (Mar. Bk E. Montgy, Ala.) They are said to have had three children, eldest of whom was William. J. L. Patton died in Alabama in 1854. Louisa went to Louisiana, leaving her children temporarily under the guardianship of her cousin, Alexander W. McDade.
About 1858, Louisa married, 2nd, her deceased sister's husband, Asberry A. Abney. They had several children, two of whom were
1. A daughter, married a Payne and lived in Virginia.
2. Addie, married W. H. Scanland, founder of the Bossier Banner newspaper. Three known children.

b. 10/17/1888, Bellevue, La. d. 10/16/1946, on active duty, after serving more than thirty years.
b. Abney Scanland, succeeded his father as owner and publisher of the Bossier Banner.
c. William Scanland, physician, of Dallas, Texas.
