Bragg, N. C.; and Betty Jean Witherspoon b. 11/22/1939, m. 4/5/1958, Larry H. Underwood, son of Grady E. and Pauline Underwood, and has one child, Larry Trent.
Alberta (Mullins) Witherspoon, married 2nd Vernon Edward Carnes, son of A. J. and Addie (Reed) Carnes. No children.

d. James Oscar McMorries, b. 5/4/1889, d. 6/9/1949, m. 2/1/1919, Nellie Marbut, daughter of W. S. and Carrie (Bridgeworth) Marbut. He was a veteran of W. W. I. Four children.
i. James Wilson McMorries, b. 12/2/1919, Anson, Tex. Served in W. W. II. and for three terms was Judge of Court in Martin Co. Tex. He married 8/1/1938, Helen Wooten, daughter of Joe W. and Fannie Wooten. Four children; Jas. W. Jr, b. 4/4/1944; Jo Helen, b. 2/24/1947; Judy, b. Oct. 1948 and Janet Ray, b. Dec. 1949.
ii. Melton McMorries, b. 11/6/1921, Anson, Tex. m. 3/31/1946, Doris Whirely, daughter of Paul and Jewell (Lunceford) Whir ley, near Big Spring, Tex. Children.; Cherylene, b. 3/20/1947; Don Jarvell, b. 11/7/1948 and Neil Steven, b. 12/5/1949. Melton was wounded while serving as Staff sergeant in W. W. H.
