3. Pierce H. Youngblood, b. 10/30/1850, Pike Co. d. - 1934 - in Shelby Co. Ala., m. 11/26/1884, at Clanton, Ala., Mattie Augusta Garner, b. Nov. 1866, daughter of Brantley Washington Garner, a Confederate soldier and wife Fannie Clay McCary. Mattie died in 1908, at Montevallo, Ala. Four children.
a. Thomas G. Youngblood, b. 8/9/1886, d. Birmingham, Ala. 1959, m. 7/5/1914, Jessie Hinton, daughter of Jon Faust and Annie (Butler) Hinton, of Calera, Ala. Five children.
i. Donald Robert, m. 10/3/1942, Maidee Lott, daughter of John Henry and Garnett Alice (Stephenson) Lott. Their children are Donald Robert, Jr. ; Susan Sharon and Linda Gay.
ii. Hugh Elvin, m. 6/8/1941, Margaret Kilgore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George V. Kilgore. Children; Hugh Elvin, Jr. Dale Marie and Jean Ellen.
iii. Olen Ralph, m. 11/20/1945, Lula Brown, daughter of Claud Henry and Maggie (Beckworth) Brown. One child, Thomas Douglas.
iv. Esther Frances, m. 4/28/1946, William Evans, son of Wm. T. and Pearl (Thomas) Evans. Children, Michael Thomas and Jas. William.
v. Doris Mae.
All three sons of Thomas and Jessie Youngblood were in W. W. II.
b. Jewel Mae Youngblood, b. 8/4/1892, m. 11/19/1911, Joshua Wesley Frost, b. 10/20/1890, son of Luther Blue and Mattie Elizabeth Frost, of Shelby Co. Ala. Wesley died in Birmingham, Sept. 20, 1957. Six children.
i. Irby Woodrow, b. 5/31/1913, m. 11/8/1941, Ruth Henderson, of Memphis. Children, twins, Jerry and Jeannette, b. 11/11/1943.
ii. Julia Elizabeth, b. 5/10/1916, m. 1st, Conway Clark, who died 12/31/1945. Two children; Joy Constance, b. 4/28/1936, m. 10/1/1955, Carl W. Schoetlin, son of Carl and Mabie Schoettlin; and, John Clayton, b. 10/4/1940.
Julia married 2nd, Huston Hodges, 7/28/1947. One child, Pamela Elizabeth, b. 6/28/1951.
iii. Maude Leone, b. 8/6/1917, m. 8/30/1941 Travis Edward Spain, who died in 1944, son of Edward and Nella Spain. One child, Paula Diane, b. 1/31/1943.
iv. Frances Magdalene, b. 11/5/1919, m. 3/31/1939, Harold Lancaster. Children, Carole, b. 7/2/1940 and Shirley, b. 2/10/1942.
