STRANGE FOR HEMPSTEAD

HEMPSTEAD, May 10 — The examining trial of Jim Cland (sic), the assassin of J. H. Farr, which has been conducted before county Judge Tompkins, for the last three days, was brought to a close this evening, and the prisoner was remanded to jail without bail.
