Personal Difficulty — Shot Gun and Dirk Used.

Hempstead, Sept. 2, 1875.
Mr. Jacob Kaempfer, a merchant of this town, was attacked to-day by J. C. Giffney, with a double-barrel shot gun, firing a load of buckshot through Kaempfer's hat, after which they clinched and fell, and Kaempfer received six stabs from a dirk knife. The wounds are severe and dangerous. The cause of the difficulty is said to be of a delicate nature.
