    Obituary:
    Harold Cecil Cloud, known to friends as Hal, was born May 14, 1921,in Joplin, Missouri, to Elbert Ernest Cloud and Winnie Wicks Cloud. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW-II and had an engineering career in the aerospace industry in Los Angeles.
    He was predeceased by his parents, brother Everett Orville Cloud, and wives Martha Ann Prendergast Cloud and Margaret Mary (Sharkey) Paterson Cloud.
    He is survived by sons Robert Frederick Winslow Cloud (wife: Cecilia) and Jay Scott Patrick Cloud (wife: Jill), daughter Cynthia Jane Cloud, and granddaughter Juliana Nicole Cloud.
    He was an active member of the Episcopal Church. After retirement he worked as a volunteer guide to travelers coming through Los Angeles International Airport. Hal enjoyed boating in the Pacific Ocean and genealogical research that traced his Cloud ancestors back to England in 1502. He was an active member of the Cloud Family Association, serving on its Board for many years and serving as Editor of the Cloud Family Journal for six years (2009 through 2015 -- eighteen fine issues).
    He passed away peacefully September 3, 2018, in his home in Playa del Ray, California, with loved ones at his side. His memorial service was at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA, at 11 am September 27, 2018. He was cremated and interred with his wife,Margaret M Cloud. "Together Forever!" said his son Scott.

    Harold married Martha Ann Prendergast Nov 29, 1947, Saint Louis, Saint Louis county, Missouri, USA. Martha (daughter of Francis J. Prendergast and Blanche E. Brown) was born Dec 15, 1920, Saint Louis, Saint Louis county, Missouri, USA; died Apr 28, 1991, Mesa, Maricopa county, Arizona, USA. [Group Sheet]
