  Notes	A Revolutionary War patriot, buried in a Quaker Cemetery at Cadiz, OH. Moved to Berkeley County, West VA, then to Hopewell MM, Frederick Co, VA in 1804-06.  and to Short Creek, Harrison Co, OH in 1810. It appears that  several Matson's moved to Harrison Co, OH. There is a Sarah Matsonrrison Co. 1820 Census).  Also listed on the census are Aaron, Daniel, Jr, Benjamin and Enoch (all sons of John and Sarah Mattson). John must have died in Berkeley Co, VA. There is no evidence of William or David leaving Berkeley Co, but there is a Robert Matson. No known children born to Nehemiah and Mary Townsend.
