    • George Washington Anderson was the youngest of three sons born to Robert H. and Milissa (Dunn) Anderson.  His early years were spent in Marshall County, AL.  He lived with his widowed mother in Jackson County, AL by 1870.  was living in Jackson County, AL at the time of his marriage.  He swore in an affidavit filed on behalf of his brother, Murray, that he was present at the death of Murray's first wife, Ann Eliza (Gailey) and he attended her funeral and burial.  He migrated along with his mother and two brothers to Arkansas sometime between 1892 and 1893.  He settled for a time in Russellville, Pope County, AR.
      George had moved his family back to Jackson County, AL by the time of the 1920 census.
