- Obituary:
ROBERT ALTON WALLER, 64, passed away in his home in Pasadena, Texas, April 9, 2009. He was born on October 3, 1944 in Lamesa, Texas. His father and mother, Leonard Alton and Naomi Oleta White Waller and his sister, Pamela Smith of Midland, Texas, precede him in death. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda Guillory Waller of Pasadena, Texas; his brother-in-law, Charles Smith of Midland, Texas; his nieces Christine Cochran, her husband and their children; Shanna Smith and her husband and daughter of Midland, Texas; his uncle R. C. White of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and his best friend of 52 years, Preston Jenkins of Houston, Texas. Robert worked for Harris County as a juvenile probation officer for 25 years before retiring. Robert enjoyed his retirement in restoring his 1960 VW. At his request no services will be held. Instead, Robert wished to be cremated and his ashes to be spread along with his beloved dog, Pebbles later at an undisclosed location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the City of Pasadena Animal Control and Adoption at 5150 Burke Rd., Pasadena, Texas 77504 .
