- Charles W. Cloud entered into rest on Monday, May 29, 2006 from natural causes in Petaluma, Ca. He was 90. He is survived by daughters; Judith Metcalf (Tom), Patricia Byrne (Dan), son Charles Cloud. 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.Charles was born in Topeka, Kansas. In 1940 he married Doris Gibson and as newlyweds they lived in Santa Cruz, they had three children. In 1962, he married Kathleen and again moved to Santa Cruz. He was a painter by trade and had his own business; Cloud Painting & Decorating. He later lived in Seaside, where he and Kathleen opened Gem Craft Gallery in Carmel. He loved being with his family and living near his daughter in Petaluma. He loved reading, ceramics, singing, playing the harmonica and yard sales!, Services will be private for family. He will be laid to rest at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Mausoleum.
