    • REFN00416 Juan Banul, the master smith (maestro herrero) from the city of Brussels  was a member of the aguayo Expedition, and was one of the founders of thePresidio of the Adaes.  He was Cabo de Escuadra. He received a grant in  1741 at which time it was stated that he had already been in the Royal  Service for over twenty years.
