      In a February 4, 1959 article, the Houston Chronicle reported:  "W. Howard Lee's charge in a divorce suit from actress Hedy Lamarr that his actress wife was guilty of excesses and cruel treatment was denied by Mrs. Lee's attorney.
          In Lee's divorce petition, he said: "She was guilty of such excesses, cruel treatment and outrages as to seriously affect and endanger plaintiff's health and in rendering living together insupportable."
          Mrs. Lee, who has been living in Beverly Hills since the separation, could not be reached for comment."

      Obituary:
      HOUSTON, Feb. 17? W. Howard Lee, an oilman who was the husband of Gene Tierney, the former actress, died yesterday after a long illness.
      He was 72 years old.
      Mr. Lee had previously been married to Hedy Lamarr, also a former actress. Their divorce in 1960 led to a long court battle over alimony.
      Other survivors include a daughter, Donna Lee Curtin of Aspen, and two sisters, Mrs. Glenn H. McCarthy of La Porte and Mrs. Hub Issacks of Fort Worth.
