Va, on list of Thomas Allen, 8 whites, 1 dwelling, 2 other bldgs.  WILL dated 25 SEP 1787 in Shenandoah, Virginia.  He was a private in the Revolutionary War from the Lower District of Dunmore Co., Va under the command of Capt. Joseph Bowman in 1775, with 110 days of service.He also served in the Virginia Militia 1776.He is mentioned in the "Old Settlers of Warren Co., Va." by Maitland Allen which states "all people of considerable wealth and the best social standing of their day" (refering to William, his brother Daniel).  He inherited 134 acres of 'Willow Glen' from his father.  He and his wife belonged to the Bullettsburg Baptist Church, a few miles away from Burlington, Boone Co., Ky.  He died or was killed on a trip back to Ky. from Va.
