- Obituary:
Michael Dennis Cloud, was born October 30, 1947, at The Presidio in San Francisco, CA and died suddenly March 20, 2001. Mike loved playing baseball and received a baseball scholarship from the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and graduated from OU with a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam as a navigator on an AC-130 and a KC-135. While in the military, he earned a Masters degree in business from Texas Christian University. After the service, he joined the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen as a CPA before establishing his own CPA practice. Mike also owned Mike's Bar and the Dugout Restaurant/Club where he enjoyed his many friends & customers. Mike loved gardening, reading, animals, and building model airplanes and ships.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Brooks Cloud of New York City; his parents, Carl and Lucille Cloud of Norman, OK; his two sisters, Terry Cloud, and Carla Ellis and her husband Richard, all of Oklahoma City; and Debbie Waggerman, who held a special place in his life.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 23, 2001 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel at 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Assoc.
