PAUL B. WINGBLADE
Paul B. Wingblade, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2007. He was born July 12, 1925 in Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Charles and Ruth Wingblade who preceded him in death, along with three brothers and a sister.
Paul was raised in Chanute, Kansas. After high school he began working for the railroad achieving the position of engineer. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed at Glamis, California. While there he drove to Yuma and attended The Nazarene Church where he met his future bride Norma Cloud. Paul worked for the City of Yuma and the Yuma County Assessors Office. Paul was very active with The Church of the Nazarene.
Paul is survived by his wife, Norma of 55 years; his loving children, Stephen Wingblade and Lynnae (Vic) Van Horn; grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, and Joshua Martin, all of Yuma. Also surviving are brother-in-laws, Curtis (Carol) and Johnny (Judy) Cloud; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers include Michael Martin, Joshua Martin, Stephen Wingblade, Curtis Cloud, Johnny Cloud, and Vic Van Horn.
Honorary pallbearers are Glenn McCollum, Ron Neu, Tony Hammons and Ray Jesser.
