Johnston after being duly sworn deposed & said, that Mrs. (Rebecca Hostein) Coleman arrived in Texas in the year 1825, that shortly after a reputed daughter of the decd known by the name of Mrs. Sally Nixon arrived in Texas .... Luke Bryan Senr being duly sworn deposed and said, that he was acquainted with the decd & family in Louisiana, that she had a daughter by the name of Sally, ... that said Sally was not more than 17 years of age at the time she & her mother left Louisiana in company with J. Martin for Texas.... Question to H.B. Johnston.  Did Jas Martin arrive in Texas in 1825? Ans.  He did Question  Did Mrs. Coleman arrive in Texas the same year Martin did? Ans  She did ....
