The records show that Mark Hardin was in Prince William County, VA, until 1755 when he sold his property to his brother, Martin. He then moved to Frederick County where he was paid for services in the French and Indian War in September, 1858. He also seems to have lived in Culpeper County around this time and was paid there too for his War services. After 1758 he disappears from the records and he may have moved to Pittsylvania County, VA with his brother Henry, and is the same Mark Hardin who was an overseer there in 1767. He also appears in the tax lists there for 1782 and 1783.
The children of Mark and Elizabeth Hardin are uncertain but one of them appears to have been a son, Mark, who married a Crittenden and moved to Kentucky.
