Notes |
- Some researchers ascribe children to this Swan Hardin -- specifically Helen B. Hardin and William F. Hardin. This is not true. In 1860 census Swan (17) is living with his father and has no children. In 1870 he is living alone and still has no children. In 1880 he is living with three servants with no children. In 1900 he is widowed and living with his sister and brother-in-law, Ophelia and Stephen Green.
Both Helen B. (Berwick) Hardin and William F. Hardin are the children of Benjamin Franklin Hardin and Cynthia O'Brien.
