I am the granddaughter of Bernard John Webb Sr. who was the brother to your G-grandfather Hugh. Your G-grandparents were my Godparents. I am excited to find someone else is searching for information on our family. The information I have is different from your information, it needs to be checked out. They lived in Gause and Burlington TX in Milam County.

*Reuben Webb #2. b. abt 1835 Tenn. died In Gause TX. he married Ann Luce June 30, 1858 in Cherokee County TX her parents were (David or Charles ?) Luce and Nancy Oaks, she was born Jan 2, 135 in Gause TX died Jan.30 1896 in Gause TX.

much of this information is based on the notes kept by my mother who along with Uncle Maurice tried to find out info on our family. According to their notes our Gray left home after his mother remarried follow the death of his father, who died shortly after the civil war due to wounds he had suffered in that war. (I have never found any info on our Gray in the Civil War.) It was told that Gray didn't get along with his step-father. Annie Luce married George W. Dean and they had three children being:

Grandma Webb (Annie Murphy) lived in an apartment at your grandparents home so you might check with your mother for her family bible or papers for more information. I would appreciate you letting me know if you have more or correct information on our family.
