Notes	Obituary: "Services Slated for Mrs. Brown Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Brown are scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the Delano Mortuary. Burial will be in the Delano Cemetery with Rev. Bernard Lowry, officiating. Mrs. Brown, 71, died Sunday morning at her home, she had been in ill health for several months. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas she came to Delano in 1927. Surviving are her husband, Lee Brown, Four daughters, Mmes. Vestal Poole, Vallejo, Violet Sellers, Delano, Lena Hayes, Tehachapi and Viola Grimes, Vallejo. Also surviving are five grandchildren, 12 great grand-children, a sister, Mrs. Marie Keith of Visalia and a brother, W.G. Guest, Comanche, Oklahoma." ================ handwritten note on the Obituary: "Uncle Dave's brother" (with circle around the name of Lee Brown) -- identified as handwriting of Ida Mae Speir Brown. ================ possible SSDI: BESSIE BROWN, b. 14 Apr 1886, d.
