Lucille Cloud Guest Of Honor At Two Parties
Miss Lucille Finlay Cloud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Marts Cloud, of 180 (??) Lorraine Avenue, whose wedding to John MacDonald Manning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Tiers Manning of 316 Egmont Avenue, will take place Saturday, was honored at two parties over the week end.
Miss Cloud's cousin, Miss Jeanne Mordaunt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Mordaunt, of 104 Corona Avenue, Pelham, entertained at a luncheon for her at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City Saturday afternoon. Miss Mordaunt is to be a bridesmaid for Miss Cloud.
Guests at the luncheon included Miss Doris Nielsen, of the city, who is to be maid of honor; Miss Cloud's two sisters-in-law, Mrs. John Mordaunt Cloud and Mrs. Chester Royston Cloud, both of this city, who will be matrons of honor; Miss Maureen McManus, of New York City, another cousin, Miss Dorothy Manning, sister of the future bridebroom and Miss Meta Steinmetz, of Mount Vernon, who will be bridesmaids. Additional guests were Miss Adrienne Mordaunt of Pelham, and Mrs. Joseph Young, of Brooklyn, both sisters of the hostess.
Miss Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Nielsen, Jr., was hostess at a tea and miscellaneous shower for the bride-to-be yesterday afternoon at her home, 339 Collins Avenue.
Spring flowers decorated the tea table at which Mrs. James Machell, of this city, grandmother of the future bride, and Mrs. G.P. Sullivan of Brooklyn, Miss Nielsen's grandmother, presided.
