Harvey Lonnie Tarrant, 101, of Elmore City, passed from this life Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Wynnewood.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley. Interment will be in Foster Cemetery.
Lonnie was born to William Asbery and Hannah Bertha Williams Tarrant on Jan. 4, 1906, in Foster, Indian Territory. He grew up and attended school at Bells and Crawford Schools in the Table Top Mountains.
On Jan. 10, 1935, Lonnie married Lora Allie Shuler. Together, they made their home in Garvin, Grady and Mayes counties. He farmed and ranched most of his life.
In his spare time, Lonnie enjoyed fishing, traveling, working, and home construction and carpentry work.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Allie Tarrant of the home; children, Lora Fay Williams and her husband Jack of Levelland, Texas, Barbara Easley and her husband Ray of Patterson, La., Earl Tarrant and his wife Francis of Paoli, Kay Brashears and her husband Belford of Wynnewood, Carolyn Gamble and her husband Ray of Gracemont, and Connie Sanders and her husband Dickie of Amber; 12 grandchildren, Kat Bagley, Lonnie Easley, Darrell Easley, Ricky Tarrant, Scott Tarrant, Sherry Schaurs, Kerry Brashears, Kyle Brashears, Brian Huseman, Jonathan Huseman, Todd Sanders and Matt Sanders; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hannah Tarrant; an infant son; two brothers, Bill Asbery Tarrant and James Edgar Tarrant; three sisters, Annie Phillips, Marie Blankenship and Maggie Parsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Harvey Lonnie Tarrant of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to William Asbery and Hannah Bertha (Williams )Tarrant on January 4, 1906 in Foster, Indian Territory and passed from this life on August 29, 2007 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 101 years.

Funeral services for Mr. Tarrant are scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley.
Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30th.
