Merwin L. Cloud, County Resident For 60 Years, Dies
Merwin Lesley Cloud, 72, a resident of Manatee County for the past 60 years, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning in Bradenton.
A retired farmer, Mr. Cloud had lived in the Ellenton area most of the 60 years spent in the county. He came here from New Jersey. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. C. J. Godfrey, Oxnard, Calif.; five sons, R. L. Cloud and J. R. Cloud, both of Tampa; E. M. Cloud and H. C. Cloud both of Bradenton, and R. C. Cloud, St. Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Bivelow, Plant City, and eleven grandchildren. His wife died in 1931.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in Griffith-Cline Chapel with Elder A. M. Karolyi of the Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Burial will be in Gillette Cemetery.
