      Mrs. George Burial Rites Set Friday
      Funeral services for Mrs. Sudie George, 84, prominent Dallas church and clubwoman, who died in a local hospital Wednesday, will be conduced at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Hillcrest Mausoleum by Dr. Frank C. Brown, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Entombment will be in the mausoleum. The cortege will leave the residence at Glad Acres at 1:30 p.m.
      Mrs. George was the mother of R. B. George, local machinery dealer, sportsman and civic worker, and Miss Cleo George.
      American flags over the numerous agencies of the Community Chest of Greater Dallas still fly at half-mast Friday in honor of Mrs. George. Fred M. Lange, executive secretary of the chest, said Mrs. George was an ardent supporter of many enterprises of the chest.
      Pallbearers at the funeral will be employees of the Glad Acres Farm. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Hudson, P. B. (Jack) Garrett, Jack Garrett Jr., Bill Trace, Dr. William T. White, Dr. Lee Hudson, James M. Moroney, George E. Scott, O. E. Fountain, J. Lee Jackson, Hugh W. Schoellkopf and Dr. Hugh McLaurin.

    • The family moved to Jennings, Louisiana in 1898 where they ran a sugar and rice plantation.  A few years after George died, they moved to Houston, Texas in 1908 where their sons, R.B. and W. Holton went into the machinery business.  They moved to Dallas in 1916.
