- Obituary:
Rev. Daniel Hulitt on June 30, 2007 age 90 of Marmora, N.J. Dan was a graduate of Temple University and the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia, Pa. Rev. Hulitt had been a Methodist Minister in the N.J. United Methodist Conference in Neptune. During his tenure he served the Bucksutan United Methodist Church from 1935-1936, Auburn, Deepwater and Aura from 1940-1942, Thorofare from 1942-1944, Westmont 1944-1948, Broadway Salem from 1949-1956, Haddon Heights from 1956-1970 and First United Methodist Church of Moorestown from 1970 until his retirement in 1982. He founded Boys Camp in 1948 located in Tabernacle a camp for underprivileged and interracial boys. He authored the book Score Keeper of the Angles, was member of the Haddon Heights Masonic Lodge and the Trenton Shrine and enjoyed his hobby of trains.
Husband of Gladys T. (nee Norton), father of Douglas R. of Matawan, N.J., Daniel B., of Minnesota. Four grandsons, one great-grandson. Funeral service Thursday 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Camden and Pleasant Valley Avenue, Moorestown, N.J. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church. Private interment Union United Methodist Cemetery, Center Square, N.J.
