Levi F. Huffman, 78, retired farmer of the Warren community, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edith Smethers, 224 West 38th Street, Marion, after suffering a stroke. He had been in failing health since 1944 and was seriously ill seven days.
Mr. Huffman was born march 29, 1872, in Grant county near Arcana to henry B. and Margaret Katherine Thomason Huffman. He married Lena M. Bevington August 5, 1893 in Wells county.
Surviving are the widow, the daughter, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the last of his family.
Mr. Huffman had lived in Grant county for the last four years.
The body was removed to the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home at Warren where friends may call and where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Loren Crowe officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery at Warren.

Funeral services for Levi F. Huffman were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home in Warren with the Rev. Loren Crowe, of the Plummers Chapel church and the Rev. E. F. Surface, pastor of the Warren Wesleyan church officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Joh A. Hinds furnished music.
Pallbearers were Claude Bevington, Wayne Huffman, Paul Huffman, Robert Beatty, Wayne Lantis and Claude Murray.
Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.
