      Their wedding announcement:
Married, at Beaumont, on the 12 June, 1889, Miss Nena Wiess, daughter of W. Wiess, Esq., to Mr. W.A. Priddie, both of this city.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G.V. Ridley, at the Methodist Church, with all the  ???? of a fashionable wedding.  The arrangements were perfect, and everything carried out with due precision and decorum, which was pleasant to the observers, and must also have been satisfactory to those taking active participation in the ceremonies.
Exactly at 8:30 p.m. the bridal party entered the church, preceded a little in advance ty the ushers and the celebrant, and after the due positions being taken by the attendants of the bride and bridegroom, the beautiful ceremony was performed by Dr. Ridley, the bride and bridegroom pronouncing their vows to each other in a most distinct and clear voice.
Mrs. Calhoun presided at the organ, and performed appropriate music for the occasion.
The bridesmaids on the occasion were Miss Mabel Wiess, Miss Emma Caswell, Miss Lula Langham and Miss Sadie Caswell.
The groomsmen -- Mr. Emmet Fletcher, Mr. Perry Wiess, Mr. B.L. Priddie and Mr. P.H. Wiess.
Ushers -- A.E. Wooden, Lipscomb Norrell, Guy W. Junker and Fred Cheesman.
The church was crowded to its utmost capacity -- being almost entirely filled with ladies, the gentlemen being compelled to occupy the porch and corridors as best they could.
Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the residence of the bride's father, where a reception was held, and on which occasion a most elegant collation and refreshments partaken of as such a host can only provide for the enjoyment and entertainment of the friends and relatives congregated.
OUr earnest and heartfelt congratulations are extended to the bride and bridegroom, for their future welfare, happiness and prosperity.  The bride has been raised here in our midst, and has grown from infancy to womanhood with the respect and esteem of the entire community, and we can safely say, not only with the hearty friendship, but with that pure love and kindly feeling for one who is so well adapted both by education and those finer feelings which crown woman with glory, to adorn and be an ornament to all society, and in all circles, even the ducal crown.  We only speak the sentiments of all, and in her course of education and graduation she always accomplished what must be the prode of her relatives and host of friends -- she was always "first among her equals."
Her partner for life is well known to our community for years, and in addition to other gentlemanly qualifications he is endowed with that business energy which makes life a success.
May Mr. and Mrs. Priddie lead one long, happy, useful life, and when their call comes, may they be ready to enter the eternal mansion, with the conviction that their duty in life has been accomplished, and they have deserved the reward, "Well done, thou good and faithful servants; enter into the joy of thy Lord."
Mr. and Mrs. Priddie left on the 11 o'clock train for Galveston, from which point they will make a trip through Colorado.
