      Special to The News:
      BEAUMONT -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mada Wiess of 1415 Calder, who died Tuesday in Schlesinger's Home after a brief illness, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Episcopal church with Dr. W.H. Littleton, rector, officiating.
      Mrs. Wiess died at 4:25 p.m.  She was the widow of Byron Wiess, Sr., who died here in 1941.  She was a member of a pioneer Beaumont family but was a native of Marietta, O.  She was a member of St. Mark's church.
      Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery under direction of the Kelley-Hixson Funeral home.
      Survivors are one son, Byron Wiess, Jr., of Beaumont; one daughter, Mrs. P.S. Justice of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, Mrs.John Fowler of Beaumont; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
