      OAKDALE - Going Home services for James Wade "Principal Chief Silver Falcon" Willis will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 20, 2003 in the Oak Hill Community Baptist Church with the Reverends Steve Miller, Alfred Kennedy, and T. J. Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.
      James Wade Willis, son of Harry and Parthena Willis was born in Oakdale, Louisiana on April 15, 1931. He entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 17, 2003 in Oakdale, Louisiana, as the result of heart failure. He was seventy-two years, one month and two days of age.
      Mr. Willis attended public school in Oakdale, Louisiana, graduating in 1948. He also attended Northwestern State University. Mr. Willis was a Veteran of the United States Army and a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the 10th Infantry Division Army Band stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was a talented musician and loved music of all types. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he completed a successful ca-reer of 32 years as Sales Manager with Eastern Airlines. He retired from Eastern Airlines in 1986. Mr. Willis was also a Deacon at Oak Hill Community Baptist Church.
      The past 17 years have afforded him time to enjoy the things that he loved in life such as gardening, helping others and spending quality time with his family. He proudly held the position of Chief of the Four Winds Tribe Louisiana Cherokee Confederacy.
      He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Parthena Willis, one daughter, Jean LeAnn Willis, and one brother, Arnold Willis.
      He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-two years, Marjorie Ruth Sigg Willis of Oakdale. They were married on December 14, 1951 in Holton, Kansas.
      He also leaves behind one son, Valery Sigg Willis and daughter-in-law, Nelda Bond Willis of Houston, Texas two daughters, Lynn Renae Willis Diboll and son-in-law, Dewey Diboll of Oakdale and Vivian Kathleen Willis Wilson and son-in-law, Eric Wilson of Boyce one sister, Vivian Willis Jarnagin of Alexandria two brothers, Harry Grant Willis of Oak-dale and Osborne Ray "Tiny" Willis of Gainsville, Florida five grandchildren, Robert Kurt Doyle & wife Tori Willhite Doyle of Oakdale Kevin Lynn Doyle of Oakdale, Erin LeAnn Willis and Katelyn Ruth Willis both of Houston, Texas, and Erica Leigh Wilson of Boyce and two great grand-children, Nickolas Scott Doyle and Kori Dianne Doyle both of Oakdale.
      He had an extended family consisting of the Tribal Council and members of the Four Winds Tribe Louisiana Cherokee Confederacy who knew and loved him for the kind, caring and generous man who opened his heart to all he came in contact with.
      Pallbearers that are honored to serve will be Kurt Doyle, Kevin Doyle, Mike Bond, Greg Strother, Sonny Wood and Ricky Richard.
