Duncan McCall's slaves were partitioned to his heirs on August 12, 1846, according to probate records discovered by Homer Gene McCall, a descendant of Lufkin, Texas. The division read:
"An account of the Division of the Slaves belonging the [to] the Estate of Dun?can McCall deceased amongst the Heirs of Said deceased divided on the 12th day of August AD1846 by T. A. McRae, Neil McRay, John Gordon and William McDougle, divisors:

Nancy McCall, "the wife of Duncan McCall departed this life on the 20th day of December AD 1852, age about 61 years," according to the bible of her son, Daniel Claudius McCall.
