She starts with ARCHIE Oxendine and then his son JOHN(son)..."b. in the late 1700's married a Delaware girl and his family disowned him as he changed his name to Exendine"... then in handwriting, "Rebecca Anderson dau of Chief Anderson". Again in handwriting, "Enrolled 28 June 1862 from Stone Co. Mo. in Co. C 1st reg,. Ark. Cav. to serve 3 years, mustered in as private 28 June 1862 at Springfield, Mo."
Johnson M. Exendine b. 1810 (Served Civil War, 1st Reg Ark. Cav. Vols. Co. C. ) (Died while in the army at Fayettelle, Ark. 2/15/1863 bur. Galena Ks) Died while in Army at Fayetteville, Ark. 2/15/1863 of brain fever, pneumonia married 3 mar 1834 in Overton Co. Tenn. by Adam Winningham.
"Rebecca appeared in Springfield Court on 5 June 1863, Green Co. Mo m. 14 March 1834 to Johnson Exendine Overton Co. TN. Rebecca d. 10 Jan 1864 in Green Co. Missouri.

Above Wm. Jasper Exenine's name there is a handwritten note: "Guardian of younger children was an older bro. NEWELL V. EXENDINE appointed 6 july 1866 - lived in Coffey Co. Kan. in 1866 move to Lawrence in Douglas Co. Mo. abt 1867."
