  Notes	Daughters of the Republic of Texas; Patriot Ancestor Album, p. 292 HEZEKIAH WILLIAMS, son of Hezekiah Williams and Rhoda (Burgess) of St. Helena Parish, LA, came to Texas with his wive in about 1833 or 1834 with seven of their children, all young adults.  He married Nancy Reams about 1804 in St. Helena Parish, LA.  They lived in St. Helena Parish, LA. and Jefferson County, TX. Nancy was the daughter of Tobias and Mary Reams of St. Helena Parish, LA.  His children were Charles, Sarah, Hezekiah Reams Jr., Nancy, Jane, Oliver Hazzard, Rachel, Rhoda, Annis, and Marion.  His land grant was located on Taylor's Bayou in Jefferson County, TX. All his sons received land grants for settlement in the area during the Republic of Texas period.  Not only Hezekiah (the elder) but his son Hezekiah Reams Williams served in the Battle of San Jacinto as the elder name is on the roster in the San Jacinto Monument.  There are no records of the date of the death of Hezekiah except that he was living in Milam County in 1852 at age 73, placing his birth at 1779.
