  Notes	Rev. Thomas Ward White, was a Presbyterian chaplain in the American Civil War and later served as President of the Reidville Female College and the Greensboro Female College in South Carolina.  He came to Beaumont in 1884 as a travelling evangelist for the East Texas Presbyterian Church.
