GA which later became Madison Co. GA in 1796. These Elliotts were blacksmiths, and said to have made iron chains to be placed across the Delaware River below Philadelphia to prevent the British fleet from coming up the Delaware River.
1802 - GA, Oglethrope Co., George Elliott bought land from Ezekiel Cloud on big Beaverdam Creek.

George Elliott, Jr. was married soon after his arrival in Georgia in 1786 to Mary Cloud. He was found in Wilkes County in 1789 when he bought land on the Broad River from Ezekiel Cloud the brother of Mary Cloud. In 1802, he bought land on Big Beaversdam Creek in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. Some time after 1802, George and Mary and their children went back to Pennsylvania, but returned to Georgia before 1808. In 1808 he was in Morgan County and the inventory and appraisement of his estate was made there on May 7, 1824.
