Barbara A. Trombetta
1/2/2007 - Barbara A. Trombetta, of Maple Avenue, Franklinville, NY, formerly of Brocton, died Thursday (Dec. 28, 2006) at the Olean General Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born March 21, 1949 in Dunkirk, NY she was the daughter of David and Betty Rushton Gilebarto.
On Oct. 4, 1969 in Dunkirk she married Carl Trombetta who survives.
A former chef in the Dunkirk and Brocton area, she owned and operated the Village Coffee Shop and the Creek Side Inn, both of Brocton. Mrs. Trombetta enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her grand children and family.
Surviving besides her husband of Franklinville and mother of Bedford, NH are 2 daughters Michelle (Michael) Lynch of Franklinville and Sarah Trombetta of Brocton, a son John Trombetta of Brocton and 2 grand daughters Oliva and Sophia Lynch of Franklinville. Also surviving are 4 brothers David Gilebarto of Stockton, NY, Thomas (Julie) Gilebarto of Logootie, Ind. James Gilebarto of Olean, Kevin Gilebarto of Bozrah, CN and 2 sisters Lynn (Fabian) Hodgerney of Bedford and Dorothy (Robert) Leonard of Groton, CN, and many nieces and nephews.
A private gathering was held in the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home in Franklinville.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday (Jan. 6, 2006) at 11 am in the First Baptist Church of Brocton. Officiating is Rev. Larry Morrison pastor.
