- Obituary:
Glenn G. Piper died August 29, 1975 in the Casper hospital after a short illness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Piper. Mr. Piper worked for the Sante Fe Railroad for 50 years. In 1962 Lena E. Piper, Glenn's first wife passed away. In December of 1963, Glenn and Jane Hales were married in Topeka, Kansas. He retired in September of 1971 and started building their home at Esterbrook in 1972. Besides his widow, Jane, Glenn is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Glenny) Drane of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. John (Carollin) Schmidt of Camarillo, California and one step-son, Harry Caskey of Topeka, Kansas; one step-daughter, Mrs. Glenda Perry of Ann Arbor, Michigan; one brother, Ralph Piper of Topeka; five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mabel) Greene of Lakeside City, Calif., Mrs. Jack (Enid) Schmall of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Jim (Freda) Fullmer of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Lowry of Flippen, Ark., and Mrs. Howard (Fern) Doeren of Altadena, Calif. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Tawnya and Tammar; two grandsons, Gregory and Kent, and three step-grandchildren.
