- Obituary:
Judith J. (Voegtlin) Sinisi, 95, of Rocky Hill, died on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was born on August 7, 1924 in New Orleans, LA and was the daughter of the late Catherine A. (Woolverton) and Eustace P. Voegtlin.
She graduated from Martin Behrman High School and Joseph A. Mabin School for graduates. She was a member of Algiers Methodist Church in New Orleans. Judith worked as an administrative secretary at Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford until her retirement. She loved the art of ceramics and gifted her children and grandchildren beautifully painted pieces of ceramics figures that they will enjoy for years to come and pass on to future generations.
Proverbs 31:10-31 describing a virtuous woman best paints a picture of our mother's character and a life well lived. Mom, you were fiercely loved and will be sorely missed.
Judith is survived by her son; Jon Michael Sinisi and wife, Joanne, of Beaufort, SC; her daughter, Terryl Sinisi Cloud and husband, Tom Cloud, of Austin TX; her son, Russell Sinisi and his wife Halina (Lejb) of Wethersfield, CT; her son, Kyle Scott Sinisi and wife Christina of Goose Creek, SC ; her adored grandchildren: Michele Sinisi Koch, David Sinisi, Stephanie Sinisi Paul, Kelly Cloud Tekell, Matthew Cloud, Barbara Sinisi, Nicole Sinisi, Scott Sinisi and Lindsey Sinisi and her cherished great-grandchildren: Mackensie Koch, Jack Koch, Michela Paul, Oliver Paul, Henry Paul, Mason Tekell and Avery Grace Tekell.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rocco J. Sinisi; her sister Muriel (Voegtlin) Johnson and her brother, Eustace P. Voegtlin, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. A funeral service will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home and interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
