- Obituary:
Mary Edith Smelley Harris, born February 14, 1929, passed away April 8, 2004 in Splendora, Texas. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Edith Taylor and Tommye Alice Pressley; and three sons, David Allen Smelley, Harold Leland Smelley and Donald Gene Smelley. She is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bill McDonald of Poteet; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by David Smelley. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. in the Splendora City Cemetery, Splendora, Texas.
