"Peter Cloud listed as died in Indiana in 1878. In 1873, he married Mary Margaret Eller and in 1875, they are on the census in Neosho, KS. I do not believe they returned to Indiana, I think the Peter Cloud who died may have been another Peter Cloud in the family. Peter & Mary's two children ended up moving with her Eller relatives to Indian Territory (Mayes Country, Oklahoma). The children, Edward & Cora, came with their grandparents & uncle (I believe Francis Marion) to Indian Territory. If you have any information on the years in between the census 1875 and the death listed in 1878 I would be interested. I suspect Peter & Mary may both have died, leaving the kids with family. I cannot find record of their deaths however. Would love to discuss further if you have some ideas. I did look up the Peter Cloud death in newspaper index while in Noblesville IN & I think that Peter Cloud was 24, an age which doesn't match this Peter. I would have to look at my records."
