DRURY SAMUEL NORRIS
Drury S. Norris, 74, Dies Unexpectedly At Andersonville
Funeral services for Drury Samuel Norris, 74, who died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 2, at his Andersonville residence, were held Friday from Reese Park Chapel in Americus with the Rev. J. Arthur Linn of Oglethorpe officiating.
Mr. Norris was a native of Macon County and had spent most of his life in the Andersonville Community. He was a son of the late Andrew S. Norris and Sara Bedenbaugh Norris. He was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church in the Cut-Off Community.
Survivors include the widow, the former Docia Jordan and two daughters, Mrs. J. R. King and Mrs. B. F. King, all of Andersonville; one son, Andrew Samuel Norris of Macon; brother, Green Norris of Sumter County; sister, Mrs. W. C. Fairbanks of Nashville, Tenn.; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Interment was in the MT. ZION LUTHERAN CEMETERY near Oglethorpe.
Pallbearers included Coy Ray, Alex Rouse, Olin Holloway, Ed Rodgers, J. R. Johnson and Otis Gwynes.
Reese Park Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
