obit (from a newspaper clipping in Kate Rogers' scrapbook, source unknown; assumed to be a Beaumont paper, perhaps the Beaumont Banner.):
"On Sunday morning, the 26th ult.,
"Mrs. Emma H.F. Coffin, aged 22 years.
"The deceased lady had been for some time in failing health, and of late her suffering was very great.
"Her funeral took place on Sunday evening. There was a large following, including the Odd Fellows, who were in full regalia and who performed the last sad offices at the grave.
"We offer our heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Arthur Coffin in his sad bereavement."
