- Andrew Shealy, a son of John Windell Shealy and his wife, "a "Miss Epting, daughter of John Adam Epting, came to Macon Co., Ga. December 25, 1836 and remained.
Andrew died August 4, 1856, 62 years old, from a gunshot
wound over some disagreement with the Helvenston boys according to the History of Macon County, submitted by Dr. Leanoard E. Shealy.
Andrew and his wife had 8 children: Henry Shealy died 1852 , William Shealy married M.E,.Higgins , George C. Shealy m. Lizzie Wadsworth , John W. Shealy m Nancy Eliza Whigham, ANDREW E. SHEALY married Sarah Adams, M. L. Shealy m. Lou Wadsworth, Mattie Adams, Mary Lamb and Louise James , Lydia Shealy m. Daniel Kleckley and Mary Shealy m. Calvin D. Summerlin.
There was Andrew W. Shealy, son of the above William and M.E. Higgins was born about 1842 as he was 8 in the 1850 Census of Macon Co., Ga. . Andrew W. m. Grace Morgan. Joined Confederate Army, Co. C. 12th Reg. Davis Rifles, June 15, 1861, Captured at Gettysburg, Pa. July 2, 1863. Returend home. Moved to Texas where he is buried. Their children were: Essie, Charlie, Eugene, Mollie, Nan, Ida, Will & Tom.

Andrew E. Shealy is buried in the Shealy Family Cemetery located about 5 miles west of Oglethorpe on north side of Co. Rd. 302. CSA Co. A 12th Ga. Cav. - 1827-1864.
