As to the parentage of Elizabeth Jane and Sarah Ann BOYD, I have photocopies of these records:

Your petitioner who is the administrator of the Estate of Sam'l Boyd dec'd would Respectfully (represent?) to your Honor that the dec'd died seized and possessed of the following lands to wit
NE quarter of SW quarter of Sec 25, T 13, R 20
SE quarter of SW quarter of Sec 25, T 13, R 20
SW quarter of SW quarter of Sec 25, T 13, R 20
NW quarter of SW quarter of Sec 25, T 13, R 20
Your petitioner would respectfully pray that your Honor will have such procedings had as will enable your petitioner to sell said land for the purpose of making a more equitable division among the heirs at Law of said dec'd, the following is a list of the heirs of said deceased: Elizabeth MERRITT former widow of dec'd and her husband Joshua MERRITT. Sarah A. MERRITT & her husband Giles T. MERRITT of age and resides in Montgomery County. Elizabeth Jane CLOUD & her husband William Jasper CLOUD of age and resides in Pike County. The following are minors and resides in Montgomery County: William E. BOYD 16 years old, Amanda C. BOYD 14 years old, Susan R. BOYD 12 years old, Frederick [should be Frances] H. BOYD 9 years old, Henry Thomas BOYD 6 years old, Sam'l J. M. BOYD 4 years old.
